Q. How long does it take to do a complete tear off and re-roof?
A. Typically a new roof from JJ Construction takes 1-3 days. It's so quick because we have a huge crew of 10-12 installers on each job. You do NOT have to move out of your house; we try to accommodate our customers 100%.

Q. How long will my brand new roof last?
A. The typical warranty is 30 years. NY weather plays a huge roll in the lifetime of your roof. However with proper installation, quality materials and adequate ventilation your roof should last 25-30 years.

Q. Does the color of my roof play any roll in the interior climate of the house during various seasons?
A. Color is not the issue. The issue is if your roof has proper ventilation.

Q. Can I have third layer of roofing installed?
A. NYS roofing codes say it is an unwise and unsafe idea to put more than two layers on a roof. Since we are committed not only to quality, but to your safety, we will NOT put on a third layer.

Q. My friend or relative knows a guy who installs roofing, can you beat his price?
A. We will do everything in our power to keep costs down. But we will not sacrifice safety and quality just to beat price.

Q. Are you fully licensed and insured company?
A. YES! We carry full Workman's Comp. & Liability Insurance. You will never have to worry with JJ Construction.

Q. How long have you been in business?
A. 15 years and going strong! We have never changed our name, never went bankrupt and never had a problem we couldn't remedy.

A. NO. We are a full service COMPANY!

A. NEVER! JJ Construction is a fully licensed company with fully trained and certified installers. All installers work for our company and are proud to bear the JJ Construction name. We stand for quality and will settle for nothing less.

Q. Who is JJ?
A. Ahh, very good question. I am so glad you asked. JJ is John Seeland - CEO. When he was younger his nickname was John John, which was later shortened to JJ.

Q. Why is ventilation so important now and not so much 10-20 years ago?
A. Back in the olden days...LOL, when windows and doors were not so insulated and air tight, ventilation was common. When people would say "my heating bills are going through the roof", they literally meant it! Now adays building materials, windows, doors, roofing and siding are a better quality than they were in the past. Better quality also means it keeps the cold air out and the warm air in - which if you think about it, its a lack of interior ventilation. Roof's need to "breath," proper ventilation is paramount.

Q. What type of shingles should I put on my home?
A. Every home is different. There are many quality manufactures that make many different types and styles of shingles. Our showroom is set up to help you make the right decision. Come on in, look around and sit down with one of our specialists who will help you every step of the way.

A. NO! Ice & Water Shield is designed to help protect the inside of your home from water infiltration in vulnerable areas.

Q. What makes JJ Construction different from other contractors / construction company's?
A. JJ Construction is a Roofing & Siding Company, NOT a contractor. A Company never takes vacations, calls in sick, or gets a flat tire. A Company is always there for you because they have a quality system in place. If someone is unable to perform their duties there is another certified tech ready to take his place. JJ Construction employs a large amount of personally trained and certified tech's which negates the need for sub contractors.

Q. What's the difference between JJ Construction and a Roofing Contractor?
A. That's exactly right ...a Roofing Contractor. Contractor being the operative word.
